This brief presentation was created by Doug Kemp of Troop 149 , Cherokee District, Northeast Georgia Council as part of Wood Badge Course SR476. It was presented at the Cherokee District Roundtable on February 13, 2003.

The purpose of the presentation is to make unit leaders aware of the alternate rank advancement requirements that are available to Scouts with disabilities. In general, it reviews the history and administrative basis for working with Scouts with disabilities, what constitutes a disability, available resources, and the pathways for rank advancement that are in place for Cubs Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers with disabilities.

It was produced using Microsoft PowerPoint and you will need a copy of this program to view the presentation.

Information and images were taken from a number of online resources. None of it is copyrighted to the best of my knowledge. Thanks to Troop 457, Alpharetta, Ga, for one slide taken from their troop orientation with permission. In the tradition of Scouting, permission is granted to use this presentation to best suit your needs, with or without acknowledgement as long as it is not used for commercial purposes.
